Even though I feel like I got a lot accomplished, this weekend FLEW by. On Sunday, Tracy and I woke up at the crack of dawn (literally) for an early morning photo sesh. Walking through the city at 6:30 AM was a completely different experience — the bustling streets and crowded parks were almost completely desolate. Only a few crazies (present company included) were out and about so early. It was eerie, but delightfully serene.
By the end of the morning, we had made our way to DUMBO. We walked our way through the cobblestone streets and down the waterfront park, taking in the “never-gets-old” views of the Manhattan skyline. And even though it’s only August, my color palette over the weekend feels like the seasons are already changing. Oxblood is back, balanced with lighter cranberry chevrons for an outfit that has me excited for cooler weather and a moodier season.

What an amazing view!! I ventured into Brooklyn to take in the Manhattan skyline on my visit last week but I didn’t get so lucky on the weather. I’ll definitely be searching for this exact spot when I move next month! 🙂
