Month: February 2012

On Monday, I was feeling feminine and today’s look is as equally inspired.  I bought this LBD in Chicago knowing that I could get plenty of wear out of it.  The conservative neckline is perfect for work, but the a-line cut gives it a little fun flare.  Nude pumps and a structured satchel look prim and proper, while a chunky chained necklace (my latest obsession!) and striped cardigan keeps everything youthful.

It’s been a little over a week since my trip to Chicago and I constantly find myself missing the feel of a big city.  I would love nothing more than to ride the subway, wander in between skyscrapers, and maybe even take another stab at ice skating right about now.  Luckily, I took plenty of pics via Instagram to keep my little town blues at bay.

So … “No Shopping February” didn’t last very long thanks to the release of  Jason Wu for Target collection yesterday.  The bff and I consented to a cheat day (our fitness friends use ’em, so why can’t we??) and we both scooped up a few of the almost instantly sold out pieces.

For me, the winner was this long-sleeved, blush-colored blouse.  I wasn’t impressed when I found it online, but when I saw it in the store, I fell in love with the delicate feel of the material and color.  It may seem overly feminine, but can be easily edged up with black accessories and accents.
