If rosé is summer in a bottle, then this white maxi is summer in a dress.

This dress is actually an updated version of a white eyelet dress that I’ve had for years. When I saw the pink floral print, I just couldn’t help myself – I had to have it! I love this dress because there’s smocking in the back, making it super easy to throw on. I recently wore this to the wineries out on the North Fork of Long Island, but even if you’re not planning to frolic in a vineyard anytime soon, it would be perfect for summer bridal showers, baby showers or family photos.

White midi dress (XS – 40% off!) / Straw tote bag / Similar brown slide sandals

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been struggling with my personal style ever since giving birth to Theo almost two months ago. Usually, I end up wearing these soft knit pajamas all day. Sometimes, I’ll wear biker shorts or workout leggings if I want to feel a little more “dressed up” (I’m using the term very loosely here!).

That’s why I recently bought a bunch of smocked, flowy dresses from LOFT – the white embroidered dress seen here, and another in a coral stripe, blue plaid and cream polka dot. I didn’t realize it at the time, but all four dresses pretty much had the same silhouette! The heart wants what the heart wants I guess!

I probably have too many white dresses to count, but I love this one because it’s stretchy at the top and has a sweet tier at the bottom. Plus the floral and striped detail on the fabric is beautiful and makes it feel special. Some might think this dress is a bit shapeless, but I think it makes it super easy to wear for summer – especially if you’re trying to figure out your postpartum style like me!

For reference, I’m 5’2″ and usually wear an XS.
