Fall Style Inspiration / Red & Camel Plaid Cape

We took an impromptu trip up to Vermont this weekend and even though we were a little too late for fall foliage, this escape from the city didn’t disappoint.

Red & Camel Plaid Poncho & Dark Wash Skinny Jeans

Okay, so maybe it could’ve been a few degrees warmer, but still – Vermont is gorgeous! We flew into Burlington and drove over to Stowe for the night. Along the way, this beautiful red farmhouse looking structure, that was actually an artisan coffee lab! The maple latte was so good that we came back the next day for more.

And even though it started snowing that night, I couldn’t help but pull out this pretty red and camel plaid poncho (it’s reversible too!). It gives me all the fall feels, but the red accent makes it perfect for the holidays too! Now about that coffee … I’m gonna need a double today!

Fall Style / Slouchy Sweater & Ripped Jeans

It’s about that time of year that my closet becomes filled to the brim with jackets and sweaters (since we have itty bitty NYC apartments, we have to switch out our summer/winter wardrobes and put the rest in storage). It might be nearly impossible to squeeze one more hanger in my closet, but somehow I’ll need to make it work, because I’m about to buy this sweater in every color (it’s only $28 and comes in six colors!). I don’t do the oversized trend very often, because I’m afraid to get swallowed whole with fabric. But this sweater is just the right fit, can be worn with the collar off the shoulder or like a regular v-neck, and looks perfectly propionate when paired with skinny jeans and booties.
