Real talk: I’m excited to break out my fall wardrobe like any good fashion blogger, but you know what I love more than blanket scarves and ankle booties? Summer! And sandals! And cut-off shorts! And off the shoulder tops! Call me crazy, but I think it’s 100% okay to keep dressing like it’s summer even after Labor Day Weekend comes to an end.

So when does summer officially come to an end? Some people associate LDW with the end of summer, but I think they’re short-changing themselves out a few more decent weekends at the beach. If you still need a concrete date to kick off the season, there’s always Fall Equinox, which occurs on September 22nd. But in my book, fall starts when you’re ready for it to start! So let’s slow down and enjoy it while it lasts because fall may be coming, but we all know what happens after that!

I mean, how could you not feel like you’re on a tropical vacation in this dress? I wore it first for my birthday dinner in NYC, but felt truly in my element when I brought it with us to Palm Springs. I’ve been all about vibrant colors and prints for summer and am already starting to devise a way to incorporate that aesthetic into my wardrobe this fall.

Let’s just say I’ve never met a dress that fit in so perfectly with its surroundings.

White Cold Shoulder Dress with Pop of Colors

This was both my favorite and most over the top outfit from Palm Springs. Not going to lie, this isn’t your everyday kind of dress, but the pops of color and giant cold shoulder frills make for one unforgettable summer outfit. It’s perfect for a vibrant vacation or a punchy party … or if you just want to look so perfectly matchy matchy at this hotel. I embraced the jolts of color with a bright bag, a pink lip and a pair of mirrored sunnies, because in a place like Palm Springs, I say the bolder, the better!
