Today, I’m partnering with Nordstrom and ShopStyle to style a print that’s synonymous with fall: plaid!

I recently picked up a few plaid pieces from Nordstrom for the season (including this gorgeous pleated midi skirt from Court & Rowe), but I’m most excited for this plaid slip dress from O’Neill. It’s hard to find this pattern in such a lightweight fabric and cut this time of the year, but that’s exactly why I love it. If you live somewhere that still doesn’t feel like fall (I’m looking at you Arizona), it’s the perfect way to look the part minus the profuse sweating. If you like to layer on your pieces, then this dress can easily go under a suede moto jacket or a chunky sweater. The options are endless!

Just a two and a half hour flight from Sydney is Airlie Beach in Queensland — a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. After spending a day snorkeling in one of the seven natural wonders of the world, I broke out this dreamy off the shoulder dress for a stroll along the beach.

You know I’m no stranger to a gorgeous off the shoulder dress. I especially love this one for it’s playful red and white stripes and the romantic ruffled layers at the hem. Couple it with a straw circle bag (the one accessory you need for spring/summer!) and I’d say you have the perfect outfit for a warm weather getaway.

Summer Style in Sydney / Navy Maxi Dress

I know there are a lot of sensational headlines being thrown around these days, but I promise you this: if you’re going on vacation in the near future, this is the only dress you’re going to want to wear.

I have a similar dress from our trip to Nice last July, but this one is way more comfortable and easy to wear. There’s a little cutout in front, which I love, but it’s actually pretty subtle since the bow tie sits in front of it. I wore this on our first full day of exploring Sydney when we explored the Sydney Harbour. As you can from this post, I wore a bunch of different outfits in Australia. But the truth is, after we finished shooting outfits, I constantly found myself switching back to this outfit for dinner or drinks or a walk along the boardwalk. What can I say? The heart wants what the heart wants!
