A couple of weekends ago, we headed to Miami in search of the gorgeous art murals known as Wynwood Walls. After doing a bit of research (aka scrolling through Instagram like crazy), I knew there was one wall I had to visit.

Wynwood is a neighborhood near downtown Miami (and only about a 15-minute Uber ride from South Beach). It’s home a buzzing nightlife, trendy brunch and coffee spots and so much amazing wall art. And while Wynwood Walls is the official destination (it’s a gated area of all sorts of murals), most of my favorites walls were scattered around on nearby streets.

Nearly every building in the neighborhood stands out in some way, but this one takes the cake. A mixture of bright and bold squiggles, it feels so simple, but once you add up layers and layers of it – it feels like colorful confetti on a wall. If you’re in the area, go visit it on 25^th Street and 5th Avenue (and don’t forget to wear an equally colorful outfit!).

Skirt The Rules / Floral Print Midi Skirt

For everyone living in the northeast, it may be a little difficult to believe that spring is less than a week away (I see you Winter Storm Stella). But rest assured, it’s almost here, which means it’s time to break out of my favorite silhouette of the season: midi skirts.

Skirt The Rules / Floral Print Midi Skirt

I recently wore this tropical print skirt while in Miami – it’s made of a scuba print material, which gives it a little more of that full skirt structure. I know that midi skirts may not be the first item of clothing that comes to mind when you’re packing for a warm weather vacation, but I love pair mine with a crop top and strappy sandals for a dinner date or a night out.

It’s been long overdue, but I’m back and so is the blog! A two-month hiatus is a little OOC, so I thought I’d rekindle things by sharing with you where I went before school started back up.

I visited my favorite city in the whole world: NYC! This view is from Brooklyn.

I made my first visit to Topshop — a U.K. based store that crossed the pond in recent years.

I went to the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit at the Met four days before it closed. I waited three hours in line, but it was SO worth it!

Afterwards, I headed south to Miami to bask in the warm Atlantic waters.

I frolicked up and down Collins Ave. and Ocean Dr. like a huge tourist.

And I got cozy with the alligators in the Everglades.

After that epic vacay, I jumped right back into school and it’s been nonstop ever since. I can’t say that’s a good excuse, but I promise I’m here to stay and I hope you’ll stick with me!
