I mean, how could you not feel like you’re on a tropical vacation in this dress? I wore it first for my birthday dinner in NYC, but felt truly in my element when I brought it with us to Palm Springs. I’ve been all about vibrant colors and prints for summer and am already starting to devise a way to incorporate that aesthetic into my wardrobe this fall.

Let’s just say I’ve never met a dress that fit in so perfectly with its surroundings.

White Cold Shoulder Dress with Pop of Colors

This was both my favorite and most over the top outfit from Palm Springs. Not going to lie, this isn’t your everyday kind of dress, but the pops of color and giant cold shoulder frills make for one unforgettable summer outfit. It’s perfect for a vibrant vacation or a punchy party … or if you just want to look so perfectly matchy matchy at this hotel. I embraced the jolts of color with a bright bag, a pink lip and a pair of mirrored sunnies, because in a place like Palm Springs, I say the bolder, the better!

You know how I told you that there were pops of color around every corner and corridor of The Saguaro Palm Springs? I wasn’t kidding.

I’m talking rainbow walls, pastel doors and purple carpet running down every hallway. James declared me insane for wanting to stay here for the weekend, but can you blame me? You can’t help but want to photograph every inch of this place (and we did). We staked out a pair of purple and blue doors to take photos of this bright blue lace dress, which I wore out to dinner on our first night in town. Definitely achieved creeper status for standing inches away from someone else’s hotel room door, but hey – anything for the shot right?
