Not going to lie, I’m kind of living in denial that September is only a few days away. While I’ve seen some blogger dive right into their fall wardrobes, I’m easing my way into mine one step at a time. Don’t be surprised if I’m dragging my feet.

Fall Outfit / Geo Printed Pleated Midi Skirt

After a summer full of bright, vivid colors, I have to admit: I do get a little giddy at the thought of a palette of darker, richer shades. But don’t expect me to be throwing on a blanket scarf or a leather just yet. I prefer to transition into fall like a normal human being – pairing summer staples like a crisp woven cami with a mosaic-inspired midi skirt. I’m loving the olive, navy and blush combination of this pleated piece and if there’s one way to look like fall even when it doesn’t feel like it, it’s to start swapping these moodier shades into your wardrobe. For those of you who usually experience warm weather winters … first of all, I hate you and secondly – don’t worry – I’ve got you covered for the holidays with the perfect skirt.

A few weeks ago, I was back in Phoenix and wore this filigree-printed midi skirt. You can’t really tell in the photos, but the filigree print is actually made of a velvety material. Holiday-inspired print meets holiday-inspired texture! I wore it with my go-to teal cami and blue tassel clutch for a more casual look, but later paired it with these red bow heels for my office holiday party last week. This one’s definitely a keeper!

Why have one Christmas tree, when you can have a fountain full of them?

The Pulitzer Fountain is located outside of the Plaza Hotel (on 59th Street and 5th Avenue) and every holiday season, it gets filled with dozens of beautiful trees. Does NYC know how to Christmas, or what?
