Holiday Party Outfit Ideas: Red Lace Dress

It really hasn’t hit me until this past weekend, when I finally settled into full-on festive mode. I’m talking Christmas music on repeat at home and peppermint bark cookies in the oven. I also finally got to shoot this gorgeous red lace midi dress this weekend. I wore it last month for a wedding rehearsal, but couldn’t wait to wear it again for the holidays. The detail on this dress is insanely gorgeous and it’ll cost you a fraction of the price of a this Self-Portrait number. It’ll run you $70, but will come in handy for those last minute Christmas parties, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day and much much more!

Wedding season is here and I can’t wait celebrate so many of my loved ones who are tying the knot this year. That’s why I was excited when my friends at Boohoo asked me to style a dress from their wedding guest boutique.

I love the idea of find a special dress for special occasions, but the I hate the thought of only wearing a dress once or twice. That’s why I try and look for versatility in my wedding guest outfits. Could I wear my dress to work, brunch or another event? Then count me in! All signs pointed to yes when it came to this floral dress. It’s the perfect balance of feminine and sophisticated, plus the stretchy fabric and peplum detail will come in handy after a second helping of cake. Bring it on, wedding season!

At any given point in the year, you can find bright colors and bold prints in my wardrobe, but now we’re in peak season and I’m determined to give Mother Nature a run for her money.

I wore this floral print midi skirt last month in a blue on blue outfit (seen here), but this time around, I wanted to add a major pop of color. Cue this fluid tank top – it’s only $34 and comes in a bunch of different colors, but the bright tomato red is a standout.

This colorful little nook of Central Park is part of the Conservatory Garden (see the other looks that we shot here and here) and was lined with vivaciously colored tulips. If you’re in the NYC area, I definitely recommend you get yourself up to 105th St. and 5th Ave. to check this slice of heaven out!
