33 and in the Swing of the Things

I turn 33 today!!

Red Linen Jumpsuit (c/o Ann Taylor – on sale for 60% off!) / Rattan Clutch / Gold Disc Necklace / Tan Ankle Block Heels (on sale for $35) / Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick in ‘Pillow Talk’

Sometime last year, I shared on Instagram that I was 32 and a follower said they were surprised – but also relieved – to know that I was around the same age as them. I think it’s easy to get caught up in the comparison game – especially on IG. Okay sure, some girls are just genetically gifted and are making six figures with their blogs straight out of college (kudos to them).

But I’m 33 and just now feeling like I have the swing of things. I refuse to say that I have it all figured out, because I don’t. But – I’m in a job that I love, with a guy that I love in a house we bought together in the city we love. And that took time.

Don’t forget – I also didn’t get into med school, I graduated law school at the middle of my class, moved to New York without a job and also blogged for about three years before ever making a dime. This shit doesn’t happen overnight!

In some ways, I feel more comfortable with myself than ever. In other ways, I’m anxious for the path ahead – there’s something about 33 that feels a little more serious than 31 or 32. But also, I’m excited for what’s to come. So let’s bring it!

Happy birthday:) I have been along term reader since 2012 (I was inspired to buy the Coach Legacy Candace and Tory Burch Robinson bag because they looked so good on you:). And after I had my two babies I returned to your blog for style inspiration. Thanks so much for all the wonderful reading and the fashion ideas. Wishing you an amazing year ahead:)
