How My Readers Describe Their Personal Style

I recently asked my Instagram followers to choose three words to describe their personal style. Want to know the three most frequently used words?

Simple, comfortable and classic.

It was pretty interesting to see how many ladies selected these words to describe their style, but also not surprising at all. If you had asked me a few years ago to describe my own personal style, I would have probably said: trendy, bold and playful. But those bold, trendy pieces are now collecting dust in my closet (I’m looking at you gold sequin J.Crew pumps
— similar to these!).

These days, simple, comfortable and classic seems to be more spot on. And while today’s outfit is a bit more on the comfortable side than anything, I guarantee you I will get more wear out of this pullover and these leggings than I ever did with those sequin heels! I’m still working on what three words I would choose now, but I think the more with spend time reflecting on who we are and what we really love, the less time (and money!) we’ll spend on things that don’t bring us absolute joy.
