Preppy Mixed Prints: Plaid & Stripes

Cute Fall Outfit: Striped Sweater & Skinny Jeans

J.Crew Factory wide striped sweater (on sale for $26!) / BP plaid triangle scarf / Denim leggings / GiGi New York ‘Madison’ crossbody bag (c/o) / Daniel Wellington ‘Classy Glasgow’ watch in 34 mm (c/o) / BaubleBar ‘Nixi’ bracelet set (c/o) / J.Crew Factory ‘Cora’ suede tassel loafers (on sale for $58!) Aveda ‘Nourish-Mint’ lip color in ‘Carnelian’ (c/o)

Remember when “being preppy” meant wearing all of the Abercrombie & Fitch polos that you could get your hands on (sometimes two at a time – don’t judge). Well, those days are long gone and my definition of preppy has definitely evolved.

Preppy Blanket Scarf

While I don’t consider my style overtly preppy, there are a few signature details that show up in my outfits from time to time – mainly, my love for navy and white stripes. When I saw this wide striped sweater, I knew it was going to be a staple in my fall wardrobe. It’s a timeless piece that I know I’ll wear year after year. To keep with the classic vibes, I love it paired with a matching striped watch and a plaid blanket scarf, which is such an easy way to mix prints this fall. Hope you guys have a happy and caffeinated Monday!
